"Subscription" generally refers to the action of signing up to receive something. In Worldox, subscribing is the process by which you place available content links in the My Workspaces zone in the left-side navigation panel.
My Workspaces is completely customizable. You decide what appears in this area. When you first see My Workspaces, there may only be one, Recent Projects listing visible:
My Workspaces starts largely empty for a reason. This is your space; you decide what goes there. Subscribing is the way to list content in My Workspaces. Just right-click on the My Workspaces name:
The “Subscribe to … “ options shown here reflect what you can add:
• Links to existing folder bookmarks
• Links to project-folder enabled profile groups
• Links to the User Files profile group, which is provided automatically in new Worldox installations
Important Note: What can appear in My Workspaces depends on how your Worldox Administrator has set up this feature for you, and on which profile groups are available for subscription. So please be aware that the right-click menu you see will almost certainly be different than the one shown above. If you have any questions, please contact your Worldox Administrator.
Tip: Unsubscribing links listed in My Workspaces is just as easy. Right-click on the listing, then click Unsubscribe on the right-click menu. |
Unsubscribing links listed in My Workspaces is just as easy as subscribing. Just right-click on the listing, then click Unsubscribe on the right-click menu.
Worldox ships with a default, User Files profile group provided specifically for workgroup sharing. If your Worldox Administrator has not renamed or deactivated this profile group, it should automatically appear as a right-click subscription choice. If it does not appear on the right-click menu and you have questions about this option, please contact your Worldox Administrator.
Open Workspaces.
If Workspaces is not visible in the navigation panel, click Workspaces in the lower part of the pane.
Tip: If you don't see the Workspaces button, it may be hidden. You can tell which categories are hidden by looking for icons on the bottom frame of the navigation pane; click and drag to bring those buttons back into the pane. |
Right click on the My Workspaces listing, and select Subscribe to User Files from the right-click menu:

That opens the Subscribe to User Files dialog.
In the Subscribe to User Files dialog, select the person whose folder you want to add to your My Workspaces zone, then click Select.
As the dialog closes, My Workspaces listings reload and a new listing appears for the subscribed User Files folder.
Open Workspaces.

Right click on the My Workspaces listing, and select Subscribe to Bookmark from the right-click menu:

That opens the Subscribe dialog, which lists all folder-location based bookmarks.
Note: There are three types of Worldox bookmarks; only folder location bookmarks appear in the Subscribe dialog.
In the Subscribe dialog, select the folder location bookmark you want to add to My Workspaces, then click Select.
As the dialog closes, My Workspaces listings reload and a new listing appears for the subscribed bookmark.
Open Workspaces.

Right click on the My Workspaces listing, and select one of the Subscribe to ... listings just below Subscribe to Bookmark.
For example: At this site there is only one profile group eligible for subscription - aside from the User Files group. The group is called Client Files. You could click that listing to subscribe to a Client Files folder location:

Depending on how many profile groups there are at your side, you could well see several such listings. Here a second eligible profile group - Personal Files - appears:
Clicking a profile group link on the right-click menu to opens either a Subscribe to ... form, or a simple field table dialog (in the event the selected profile group has only one field.)
Identify the profile group folder location to which you are subscribing.
• In the Subscribe to ... form, select codes or values to identify the folder location, then click OK.
• Or, if you are looking at a field table dialog, select a code or value then click Select.
As the dialog closes, My Workspaces listings reload and a new listing appears for the subscribed folder location.
