Copying files

Copying files creates copies which are then profiled and stored in Worldox. The source files remain in their original locations.

Tip:  WorkZone is a drag-and-drop alternative to copying email and other files. Documents profiled this way are in effect copied into Worldox.

To create a profiled copy of a file in Worldox:

  1. Use the left-side navigation panel, search or other tools to find the worklist you need.

  2. Highlight the file listing(s) in the right-side worklist, then select Copy from the File pull-down list. You could also click Copy  in the toolbar, or right-click with the file(s) highlighted and select Copy from the right-click menu.

Note:  You can copy multiple files at once. If you select more than one, Worldox asks you to confirm your selection, in the Clarify Selection dialog. If you see this dialog, choose the appropriate option and click Continue.

  1. Profile the copied file(s).

Then, depending on how profile groups and user access are set up at your site, you could see the Select Profile Group dialog, overlying the File > Copy profile form. In the Select Profile Group dialog, double-click the profile group to which file(s) are being copied, or highlight that listing and click Select in the toolbar.

Otherwise, you go straight to the File > Copy dialog.

Next step:  Fill out the File > Copy form to finish copying the file(s).
