There are two ways to view files without having to open them in their original (source) applications.
Tip: You generally don't need to have the original, source applications installed on your machine to view files in Worldox. There are exceptions, but Worldox Viewers can handle most file types you'll encounter.. |
• View a document in the Worldox Viewer
• Previewing documents on the Viewer tab
Default viewing choices can be customized for both viewing and previewing::
• Set viewing defaults for the Viewer window
• Set viewing defaults for the Viewer tab
Use the left-side navigation panel, search or other tools to find the worklist you need.
Highlight (select) the file you want to view.
Note: Worldox lets you select multiple files, but only one - the highlighted listing - can actually be viewed at any one time.
Note: You need not have the source application available for a file in order to view that file in Worldox. The Viewer window runs on Oracle viewers which are part of the Worldox installation at your site.
Once the Viewer window is open, you can use the toolbar to take action. Here is a clickable "map" of Viewer toolbar buttons.
Tip: It's easy to save Viewer window size and position - for single or dual-monitor setups - so the Viewer always looks the same when opened. |
Highlight (select) the file you want to open in the Worldox worklist.
then click the View
document tab or the icon equivalent -View
icon- at the bottom of the worklist. That opens the Viewer
tab, where the file can be previewed:
Tip: You may see "click to view" links rather than thumbnail previews for certain file types on the Preview tab. |
Notes: As you can see from the illustration above, up to three files can be previewed at the same time. Or, you can view just one document. Here are some helpful tips:

• A quick tutorial on using new Viewer tab features.
