Ridgewood, NJ – August 24, 2010 – World Software Corporation® (www.worldox.com), the company behind the award-winning Worldox® Document Management System (DMS) software,announced today that it will be demonstrating its upcoming iPad App for Worldox at theILTA Conference in Las Vegas (booth #723).
The final feature set and pricing for the Worldox iPad App have not yet been released. However it is projected that the app will encompass essential DMS features plus popular Worldox search features such as bookmarks and favorites files. Also being shown at the Worldox ILTA booth is remote desktop connectivity with Worldox on the Apple iPad. This will be available through World Software’s new managed services offering, Worldox CompleteCloud, or via the client’s existing Windows Terminal Services or Citrix environment.
World Software President Ray Zwiefelhofer remarks, “For the past few years, Apple has been gradually infiltrating the legal market, first with the iPhone and now with the iPad. As lawyers become more mobile and bandwidth continues to increase, they need to be able to access their documents remotely from a variety of devices. Our existing Worldox/Web Mobile application works on mobile devices and received top ranking in the 2010 ALM survey, yet its usefulness is sometimes limited on mobile devices because of their small screens. The full-screened iPad truly eliminates this issue since document viewing and editing on its large screen looks great, and with optional Bluetooth keyboards attorneys can be very productive. We believe the iPad is the device that will move Apple further into law firms, and it is incumbent upon legal software companies like us to build the right apps for it.”
