Audit trails enable you to track a document’s history as it moves and changes in Worldox. As soon as a document is profiled, Worldox starts to track events, locations and users associated with that file. Document histories are saved in a special Audit Trail database. With Audit Trails, you can track a document’s history and perform precise queries on events. Many events can be queried to determine who checked out a document on a specific date, who launched and edited a document version, etc. You can then run and print audit trail reports based on those queries if necessary.

The ability to search and view a document’s audit history is usually reserved for Worldox Managers and Administrators. Decisions on who can access audit features are made within your company.

After files have been shared using the Send to ShareFile option, the Worldox Audit > File dialog box displays an Uploaded event for the file.

You can double-click the file name to view the Audit Record. The record confirms that the file was uploaded to the ShareFile Extranet. It also displays all of the email addresses for recipients of the shared files.
