New in GX3: Remote hosting options

Where earlier versions of Worldox were desktop products only, GX3 offers remote hosting options in addition to the classic desktop mode. GX3 (all versions) starts with a significantly improved user interface, than adds several new and enhanced features. But the changes certainly do not end there.

GX3 also delivers true platform independence, with three different deployment choices - including two remote hosting options (GX3 Enterprise and GX3 Cloud) that are unlike anything seen before.

The truly new part is behind the scenes - an innovative remote communication architecture that delivers Worldox to desktops from either our hosted data centers (SaaS) or from inside your data center. This allows a thin delivery option for remote users and locations.

This first release of GX3 was the Professional version - the new, improved desktop version of Worldox, and the application you are using now. Worldox Professional is the classic, network-based application clients have been using for years.

GX3 Enterprise was introduced in late 2012, GX3 Cloud in early 2013.

The technology that makes these remote options possible is truly new. Unique in fact, and right now in the patent process. Technology aside, it's the user experience side of these advances that make them so beneficial.

Bottom line:

Worldox always looks the same - and act the same - no matter where it comes from, or how it gets to your desktop. There are no usability compromises for web-based or SQL tools, certainly no compromises in speed. This adds up to true platform independence, with absolutely no downside in application power or look and feel.

Here's a look at how the three versions compare:

      GX3 Professional

This is our desktop version - the familiar client/server approach, with Worldox GX3 installed on the users' local computers. All Worldox-managed documents are located on one or more networked servers. This is the traditional Worldox deployment method and an upgrade for GX2 customers.

      GX3 Enterprise

Enterprise for larger firms, with multiple locations or high demand for remote access. Enterprise takes advantage of Microsoft's Published App technology and extends it to a new level. The Worldox Enterprise Server architecture allows the Worldox published application to have full communication with their local applications, including MS Office, Outlook and third-party integrations such as case management software.

      GX3 Cloud

The  SaaS-hosted cloud: in this model, GX3 - and only GX3 - plus all documents are hosted and managed in our data center. Users have the same rich Worldox experience, regardless of where they are located, for a modest monthly fee.
